EDC Connect Ltd was founded in 2008 by Dr. Daniel Colegate, during his PhD at the University of Durham. Our first project was to build a research community for PhD students, which led to the creation of the non-profit website Graduate Junction, a community of more than 18,000 students.
Through personal experience we began to recognise massive opportunities where online communities and social media could be better used to assist with both academic learning, student support and commercial business development. Soon we were involved in new projects to build online communities for universities and small businesses.
In the past two years we have expanded our operations to include market research, consultancy and business development for public sector organisations and small businesses as well. We now have an expert team of trained researchers made up of Oxbridge graduates delivering superb and cost effective research and consultancy services on a diverse range of projects. Our clients include the University of Durham, Cordoba Group, Postgraduate Toolbox Ltd, CRAC and the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC).
